Based on the functionality of CSfD’s previously successful Kernel Distribution System (KDS), vKDS is a .NET compliant version that utilises state of the art technology to produce a fast and efficient system that is not dependent on server processing power.
A rich PC client sitting on a layered architecture produces a system with an enhanced speed of operation whilst retaining broad functionality geared towards the logistics and distribution market place. The PC takes the processing load for each individual operator thereby reducing an organization’s overhead on their network and server infrastructure. The layered architecture allows the system to operate through local data caching and provides instant performance. This makes it quick, with operators able to interact with the system at the speed they desire with no time lags in operation, an essential quality within a fast order capture and processing system.
vKDS utilises Visual Studio and .NET technologies through our own middleware, integrated directly into Visual Studio, which allows rapid application development of forms and reports.
Our products are designed to be run on the platform of your choice and to integrate easily with your other business critical applications.
The layered architectural style of vKDS provides flexibility through the use of gateways, opening up data access to the product of the customer’s choosing ,whether that is Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, OleDb, odbc or any other preference you may have. The service oriented architecture, by separating the business logic, also increases the flexibility of the system in terms of connecting to other applications present within your organization or a web based client of your choosing.
The core system provides functionality in the areas of order capture and management, purchasing, inventory control, WMS and sales and purchase ledgers. Microsoft Dynamics AX General Ledger is also available together with business intelligence and B2B web services.
CSfD is able to provide a full range of services ranging from consultancy, business analysis and process improvement, systems design, specification, development and test, system integration and implementation and project management.
