AXIS e-commerce
Application XML Integration Services (AXIS) is an open, flexible and easy to use Java™ Technology web front-end application, designed and developed by CSfD to service the e-commerce requirements of the distribution and logistics marketplace.
Designed for use with CSfD's highly successful integrated distribution management system, KDS, or with other similar systems, AXIS enables distribution companies to offer their clients direct, online access to their inventory and order processing systems, 24x7x365, from virtually anywhere in the world and on a whole range of devices. Customers can check prices, check availability and place orders, all in real-time, using any web-enabled device. AXIS comprises four levels, each designed to interface into 3rd party technology:

AXIS runs on most hardware platforms. It uses Transoft's load-balancing software to provide the reliability and availability necessary to support mission-critical operations, and the scalability necessary to meet a distribution organisation's growing needs. Additionally, it uses Sun's Java™ Technology to offer true 'Write Once, Run Anywhere'™ capabilities, resulting in a flexible application offering fast, efficient, real-time service.
