The company picked up their award, jointly sponsored by Freight Best Practice Northern Ireland & Driver Hire', at a glittering ceremony held recently in Belfast before a packed audience of leading players in the industry.

O' Kane's has built a reputation for quality food and unrivalled service. Having worked in partnership with Brakes, one of the UK's leading suppliers to the food service sector, over the last 10 years it has now joined the Brakes Group family of businesses.

The partnership with Brakes ensures a strong platform for future growth and has already enabled O' Kane's to strengthen its offer and secure significant in business within the Republic of Ireland. This has resulted in the opening of a new depot in Dublin, creating jobs for 50 people. In times of current recession this reflects the growth of the business and the success of current operations. In addition, distribution sites are operating in Cork and Galway to facilitate customer demand.
