Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets is targeting the logistics sector with the creation of a 13 strong team of advisers who, it says, have extensive experience working in the sector.

The new team will focus on logistics and transport companies with turnovers of between £15 million and £500 million.

It is headed by Tony Nash, area director, support services at Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets. He said: "The transport and logistics sector is an important one and we have ensured that the right people, with longstanding sector expertise are in place to provide specialist advice and support."

"The current economic climate means that, more than ever before, businesses need to be confident that their bank can provide sound financial advice and specialist support. We're delighted to create this new team and provide the necessary expertise to businesses in the sector."

And Brian Parsons, relationship director, support services, said: "The transport and logistics sector has a vibrant and diverse range of businesses and we're committed to helping the business community realise its ambitions – whether that's by us supporting a new business, or continuing to strengthen relationships with existing customers."
